James Coubrough
Owner
Jim Coubrough is a proud American, family man, and garage door professional with over 10 years of experience in residential, commercial, and industrial systems. Born at Yale–New Haven Hospital and raised in Milford, Connecticut, Jim has strong local roots and a deep commitment to the community he serves.
A graduate of Porter and Chester Institute for automotive technology, Jim brings a hands-on, mechanical approach to every job. His experience spans sectional garage doors, rolling steel doors, gates, operators, and accessories, including extensive Sommer operator expertise. His experience spans a diverse client base, from firehouses and police departments to power plants, airports, municipal facilities, retail centers, and residential communities.
Jim enjoys solving complex problems and taking on the jobs other companies turn down. His goal is simple: build something reliable, honest, and lasting for his family and future generations.
Matthew Schreyer
Owner
Matt Schreyer brings over two decades of hands-on experience and deep industry knowledge to the team. Born and raised in Milford, Connecticut, he lived there for 30 years before relocating to Orange in 2016.
After graduating near the top of his class from audio engineering technical school in 2005, Matt entered the door industry as a helper through a family connection—expecting it to be temporary. More than 20 years later, he’s still here by choice.
Matt is a recognized Sommer EVO+ expert and holds IDEA residential certifications. His technical skill is so well regarded that Sommer once encouraged him to apply for a regional sales role—stating that if it were a technician position, they would have made an offer outright.
Beyond the field, Matt is an early and active board member of Vertical Lift Outreach, the industry’s first and only 501(c)(3) charity, where he focuses on advocacy and support within the trade.
